More About Flights to Breckenridge

How Do I Book a Flight?

Vacationers have options with flights to DEN (Denver International Airport), Eagle County Regional Airport, and Colorado Springs Airport. The best deals on flights are in Denver from October through November and early April. Many trails aren't open then and lifts close in mid-April. Shop owners close for a break before the busy ski season begins after Thanksgiving.

How Do I Get to and From the Airport?

Mountain driving is dangerous because of rapidly changing conditions and traffic, so it's best to take an airport shuttle. Shuttles run about $35 per person one way. You can rent a car but for your comfort, avoid driving in peak hours during ski season.

Are There Any Nearby Hotels?

There are resorts, boutique hotels, ski-out condos on the slopes, family friendly hotels, and cozy B&Bs in and around Breck, many of which offer shuttles to the slopes. The farther you are from town and the slopes, the cheaper the rooms. End of ski season prices will run you about $200 a night.

My Kids Aren't Skiers. Should I Bring Them?

Breck is a family friendly ski town that offers plenty of off-slope action including an Alpine Slide, snowmobiling, and shopping. Many resorts offer children's activities so you can enjoy the slopes. There is also a ski school for kids.

Any Additional Travel Tips?

Breckenridge is a beautiful town nestled in the Rockies. The three airports are a distance away so ground transportation is a necessity. The trip to your hotel is breathtaking. If you rent a car and drive, you'll miss a lot of it.
