What Do I Need to Know Before I Book a Ticket?

Flying into Rochester is a fairly painless experience, as it is a relatively small airport with small queues. All of the major domestic airlines have non-stop flights in and out of Rochester from New York, Washington, Orlando, Detroit, Seattle, Atlanta, Boston and Philadelphia. However, international flights are less regular. As there are plenty of transport options from the airport to the city, you can fly in at any time of the day.

Are there any Cheap Hotels Nearby?

Most hotels around the airport are 3 or 4-star chain hotels, but there are some great budget hotels as well. Super 8 Hotel Henrietta is great value at $50 per room, and is minutes away from the airport. The Red Roof Inn is a little further out (approx 8 miles) but offers newly renovated rooms with comfortable beds for $60. Quality Inn is less than one mile from the airport and offers a free shuttle service. Rates start from $80 per night. 

How Do I Get to and From the Airport?

Besides rent-a-car services, you can travel by taxi or public bus. But taxis charge a minimum fare of $10. The public bus is much cheaper, and departs regularly from the east end of the airport for $1. If you want to connect with the Greyhound or Amtrak service, you change at Midtown Plaza.
