More About Hotels near Old Town...

Experience the Vibrant Culture of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia

Stretching along the Potomac River, the historic district of Old Town Alexandria is DC’s oldest neighborhood. Characterized by gourmet dining, high-end clothing boutiques, and quaint artist studios, the area lies immediately south of Ronald Reagan National Airport, and is conveniently located near Mount Vernon and the Torpedo Factory Art Centre.

Affordable Old-Town Hotels and Transportation

The Sheraton Suites, Hotel Monaco, and Crowne Plaza lie close to the waterfront, while the Westin and the Lorien Hotel and Spa are slightly further away – but are also among the few Old Town Alexandria hotels with free parking. There are frequent Metrorail services, and you can use the free trolley to reach the almost 200 shops, restaurants, and attractions dotted along King Street. If you're heading to Washington’s National Mall, the Potomac Riverboat Water Taxi will whisk you there in just 30 minutes.

Timing Your Trip

There’s plenty to occupy you in Old Town Alexandria, but you might like your trip to coincide with one of the local events. The annual Art Festival in September is popular, as are the lively celebrations during Halloween and Christmas. It pays to book early for these periods, since hotels fill up quickly.
