Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre — Convenient Location

Helpful Hotel Services Provided

Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre, a 100% smoke-free property, provides many guest amenities. Among these are concierge services, tours and ticket help, dry cleaning and laundry service, babysitting or childcare, and luggage storage -- the latter service is especially helpful for guests who don’t want to take all their suitcases and souvenirs with them on a multi-day side trip and for those checking out in the morning whose flight departs late at night.

Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre provides a buffet breakfast at a surcharge. The hotel’s bar/lounge Mokum serves lunch. Relax by Mokum’s fireplace in the late afternoon with a drink before dinner. Since the hotel does not serve dinner, many hotel guests have their evening meal at Restaurant Humphrey’s, located next to the property. Hotel guests may charge meals eaten at Restaurant Humphrey’s to their hotel account.

Basic Fit, a fitness club next to the hotel, is open daily. Arrangements made between the hotel and Basic Fit allow hotel guests to buy discounted day use tickets for the club, enabling them to use more than 100 exercise machines at the facility.

Individually Decorated Rooms for Guest Luxury

Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre’s individually decorated rooms have flat panel televisions with satellite service and pay movies. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Other amenities include a desk, minibar, shower/tub combination, down comforter, and in-room safe.

Traffic-Free Square

Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre is on a traffic-free square near Central Station, the capital city’s main train station.

Dam Square, Amsterdam’s town center, is within walking distance of the hotel. The National Monument, which honors victims of the Second World War, as well as the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, one of three palaces in the Netherlands used by the royal family, are located in the square.

Several churches and former churches are either on, or near, Dam Square. Two of these are the 1213 Old Church (Oude Kerk) and the 15th century New Church (Nieuwe Kerk). New Church — no longer a church — is a venue for exhibitions, organ recitals, royal weddings, and investitures of monarchs.

Buses stopping near the hotel take visitors to museums and places of historical interest. It’s a short ride to the Rijkmuseum, home to Rembrandt’s painting The Night Watch and only 10 minutes from Anne Frank House, the building where Anne Frank and her family hid for two years during World War II.

The Bottom Line

The hotel’s convenient location between Dam Square and the central train station makes Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre a convenient base for exploring the city. Although the property only provides breakfast, many nearby restaurants and cafés give hotel guests several choices of places at which to eat. Since the hotel faces a traffic-free square, outside noise is not a problem for sleeping guests.

Comparably-priced Ibis Amsterdam Centre is near Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Centre but since the hotel is next to Central Station, traffic and train noise can’t be avoided.

Expert Reviews
This castle-like mix of Venetian Gothic and Art Nouveau has been a prominent landmark and a popular meeting place for Amsterdammers since 1900.
Rough Guide
Landmark Art Deco hotel just off Leidseplein that dates from 1900, though the bedrooms themselves are mostly kitted out in standard modern style.
Time Out
A dazzling art nouveau monument that's looking extra spruce now that a fountain has been added to its terrace, the public areas here... are all eye-pleasers.
