More About Hotels near Phillip Ackley Stanton House...

Phillip Ackley Stanton House History

Phillip Ackley Stanton House is a Mission Revival Spanish Colonial Revival style house that sits on the site of the Stanton Estate. Philip Ackley Stanton was the president of several real estate companies and came to Orange County in the late 1880's. Stanton was responsible for much of the construction of several towns in Southern California, including Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, and Stanton, which was ultimately named after him. He was involved in California politics and built the Phillip Ackley Stanton House in 1929. Today the historic landmark is located within the Fairmont Preparatory Academy, a private high school. It is part of the Fairmont Private Schools, which is the largest and oldest non-sectarian private school in Orange County.

Benefits of Staying in Anaheim Away from Disneyland

If Disneyland is not your entire reason for visiting Anaheim and you want to explore nearby attractions like the Phillip Ackley House, or other cities like Los Angeles or San Diego, staying away from the theme park area can certainly be beneficial. Easy access to the Orange (57) Freeway and Interstate 5 (Santa Ana Fwy), away from the throngs of Disneyland visitors, can yield lower traffic jams around Disneyland's opening and closing times. Parking is often free at hotels outside the immediate Disneyland area and a budget hotel might be a better deal. The one downside is if you are planning to drive much on the freeway, get ready for bumper-to-bumper traffic during peak work times as Interstate 5 is California's major freeway connecting the northern and southern parts of the state.
