More About Hotels near Tomorrowland Monorail Station...

The Disneyland Monorail has obviously undergone a number of changes over the years, and, while it now takes advantage of modern technological advances, it retains the retro-futuristic look that has been so wildly popular with Disney fans.

Disneyland's Highway in the Sky

Unlike Walt Disney World's Monorail, Disneyland's system is more of an attraction and a unique vantage point to see the Disneyland Resort and surrounding Anaheim area. Walt Disney World Monorail is primarily for transporting guests around the massive resort, rather than an attraction in itself. During the 13-minute Disneyland ride, you will pass through Fantasyland and Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park and right through the entrance of Disney California Adventure Park. There are two boarding stations -- Tomorrowland and at Downtown Disney District.

Hotels with a View of the Disneyland Resort Monorail

If you want a view of the Disneyland Monorail track and its fleet of iconic trains going by, your best bet is splurging on an official Disney Resort Hotel for a chance of snagging park view rooms. Hotels like Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa have some rooms and suites that overlook the Disneyland Resort. Non-Disney hotels along Harbor Blvd may also have views of Disneyland and its Monorail track. Check more budget-friendly hotel options like Anaheim Fairfield Inn by Marriott or the Howard Johnson, where you have a view of the Monorail from the pool area, too.

Benefits of Staying Close to the Disneyland Resort Monorail

The closest hotels to the Disneyland Monorail are the official Disney hotels, which means lots of cool perks. If you have your park tickets already, you can board the Monorail and entering Disneyland from the Downtown Disney District, which is a much shorter walk than to the main entrance, not to mention the added bonus of shorter lines. Disneyland offers early entry on certain days, an exclusive benefit for guests of official Disney hotels. The one drawback to staying at an official Disney hotel is you still have to pay valet or self-parking fees. If you were hoping to save money by staying on property versus driving in and parking, you won't see any savings benefit there.
