What Amenities are Available?

While the Metro is just around the corner from the hotel entrance, most historical sites and museums are within easy walking distance.  Travelers can always find a place to stop for a quick snack or lunch in the area.  The Dionysos Zonar's bar is a tourist' favorite, which offers Greek and Mediterranean cuisine and a view of the Acropolis.

Visiting the sites surrounding the Acropolis will usually takes a whole day.  Be sure to visit the New Acropolis Museum which houses precious ancient Greek artifacts such as the statue of Athena.  The Temple of Olympian Zeus is the largest remaining temple from the Ancient Greek times and dates back more than 2000 years.  The Ancient Agora, just northwest of the Acropolis, is a great place to enjoy a walk around the area and learn about the birth of Greek democracy.  There is also a great view of the ruins of the Temple of Hephaestus on the Agoraios hill.
