This is where the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets play football. Construction was completed in 1913, making it the oldest stadium in the Football Bowl Subdivision. The football team also has the most home wins at this stadium over any other in the subdivision. It sits on the east side of campus and offers beautiful views of the midtown and downtown skylines.
Most of the nearby hotels are within walking distance to Bobby Dodd Stadium. For slightly larger groups, the Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown is a good choice because the rooms offer additional space to relax. The Holiday Inn Atlanta-Downtown Centennial Park is a budget-friendly hotel that has an on-site lounge where guests can enjoy a nightcap.
Traffic around the stadium can get very congested, especially during football season and when school is in session, and hotels near Georgia Tech might fill up quickly. If you plan to catch a football game at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field, it is beneficial to be within walking distance so you can avoid being stuck in a traffic jam before and after the game.
The ticket office opens three hours before kickoff. Stadium officials recommend that you purchase your tickets well in advance. The team enters the stadium two hours prior to kickoff and 20 minutes before the announcer introduces the starting lineups.
