More About Hotels near Atlantic City Art Center...

A Home for the Arts on a Historical Pier

The Atlantic City Art Center sits on Garden Pier, named for the flower arrangements that were its centerpiece when it opened in 1908. It extends out into the Atlantic, with swimmers and surfers not far away. The Pier itself is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10a to 4pm, with free parking and admission.

The Art Center hosts exhibitions and events featuring local and national artists, while also engaging in educational outreach in the community. The Center is supported by membership contributions, though there may be admission or tickets for individual events. Check the calendar to find out what's scheduled during your trip.

Stay in an Affordable, Iconic Atlantic City Hotel

Garden Pier is flanked by some of the biggest hotel names on the boardwalk. To the northeast, Revel is a 4.5 star property with stunning ocean views. Featuring gaming, entertainment, a spa, multiple restaurants, and luxury amenities, Revel is a sumptuous choice, and the airport shuttle makes transportation easy.

To the southwest of Garden Pier are two hotels that go with Atlantic City like funnel cakes and powdered sugar; Showboat Atlantic City and the Trump Taj Mahal Casino featuring Chairman Tower. Showboat offers gaming, a spa, and several restaurants, but is showing its age a bit. Visitors looking for a taste of the old days on the boardwalk will appreciate its retro charm, but those looking for a more modern experience may want to look elsewhere.

The Taj is a grand, four-star hotel with a full-service spa, fitness center and indoor pool, 13 restaurants, countless bars, and of course, a casino. It's also an older property, and while some appreciate the glitz and grandeur, others say it needs updating.

The Boardwalk is a Bit of a Walk

Located on the northeast end of Atlantic City, close to Brigantine, the Arts Center and surrounding hotels are a bit far from the center of the action. You'll have to walk a while to reach landmark hotels like Bally's, the Tropicana, and Trump Plaza. On the way, keep an eye out for Park Place and other streets familiar to Monopoly fans.
