There are affordable tours and events happening on campus year-round. Check out the university's website for an events calendar and see what's happening when you visit. The most wide-scale event happens in March with Explore U.T., the largest open house in all of Texas. Cheap and free activities happen all over campus. 

Take a student-led tour and learn about the history and culture at this great university. The U.T. Tower tour is free for the open house. Half hour tours run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on a first-come basis. This is not to be missed, as the views from the tower are unparalleled on campus.

The Lyndon B. Johnson Library and Museum offers free admission and gives visitors the opportunity to experience interactive exhibits. Explore the Hall of Geology at the Texas Memorial Museum where you will find fossils of dinosaurs and many other prehistoric creatures.

For younger visitors, the children’s International festival features fun activities and experiences for kids of all ages. 

Book in Winter for the Cheapest Hotels
