Modern Amenities and Indoor Pool in the Heart of Downtown Calgary

Indoor Pool in the Heart of Downtown Calgary

Planning a trip to Calgary and want proximity to the everything? Stay at the Sandman Hotel Calgary City Centre. It is one of the most convenient of all the downtown Calgary hotels. Enjoy easier access to all of Calgary's attractions including the Calgary Stampede, Scotiabank Saddledome, and walking malls. The hotel is on the C-Train's LRT line, so you can easily get almost anywhere you need to go in the city without driving. If you want to venture out on foot, the Sandman Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Eau Claire Market and the shops on 17th Avenue. That's about the same distance as the Hyatt Regency Calgary, which is a few blocks east.

Hockey, Rodeos, and Shopping

Catch a Calgary Flames hockey game at the Scotiabank Saddledome, just a ten minute drive. See a show at the EPCOR Centre for the Arts, or relax in one of the nearby parks. Shaw Millennium and Central Memorial Parks are about ten minutes by foot. Take a day to shop the malls in Calgary's thriving retail district on 17th Avenue, just 15 minutes away by foot. Then sample rare but excellent restaurants like the Saltlik Steakhouse. If you want something unique, shop the Eau Claire Market's local merchants, a few blocks north of the hotel.

See it All, then Unwind in the Whirlpool

You can always relax back at your hotel after a fast-paced day of sight-seeing. Rejuvenate and refresh in the indoor pool and whirlpool. Unwind and relax at the Mbar lounge, ideal for spending time with friends, or meeting someone new. Then head over to Moxie's Bar and Grill for something to eat. There's also a fitness center to keep up with your workout.

Stretch Out and Relax on a Budget

The Sandman hotel offers guests modern, comfortable rooms with stylish interiors and plenty of space to stretch out. All rooms include an extra sitting area with either a table and chairs, or a desk for getting work done. Corporate suites include a sofa bed for relaxing, or to sleep an extra guest. All rooms include updated baths, TVs, and some include microwaves and mini-fridges.

The Bottom Line

You will be close to just about everything, and with the LRT stations right nearby, you can easily get to all of Calgary's attractions. The hotel also offers comfortable rooms and rates that often beat chain hotels.
