Enjoy a Luxurious Vacation at InterContinental Carlton Cannes

Few addresses are held in such high esteem as La Croisette Boulevard. Such an acclaimed location deserves only the best hotels, and the five-star InterContinental Carlton Cannes fits the bill.

Suites Fit For Film Royalty

The InterContinental Carlton Cannes has welcomed some of the world’s most celebrated personalities, from the stars of Hollywood’s heyday including Grace Kelly and Cary Grant to modern day sirens like Uma Thurman and Sharon Stone. Today their names are attached to the hotel’s premium suites, which boast living rooms and private terraces to take advantage of the Mediterranean Sea views.

The high tariffs these rooms command can hurt, but the InterContinental’s more affordable classic and superior rooms will still seem luxurious to guests with smaller budgets. All rooms feature TVs with premium cable channels, wired and wireless Internet, bath products, and turndowns.

Stay on Famous La Croisette Boulevard

The InterContinental sits on La Croisette Boulevard, the home of many of Cannes’ leading restaurants, high-end designer stores, and the famous Cannes Film Festival. Film buffs will find themselves less than a mile away from the event’s site, Palais des Festivals.

If the designer labels of La Croisette are too rich for your blood, hit up the boutiques of Rue d’Antibes located eight minutes’ walk from the hotel. While some shops are still expensive, there’s a more diverse range of goods and price points here.

Premium Resort-Style Facilities

There are two Intercontinental Carlton Cannes Restaurants: the relaxed Beach Restaurant and more formal Carlton Restaurant. These dining options are complemented by the Carlton Bar, an excellent place for star spotting during the film festival.

The InterContinental looks to revitalize your mind and body. Its onsite beauty room will soothe your muscles and its fitness center will help you keep them toned. The hotel’s private beach will help you enjoy France’s famous coastline without the crowds.

There’s so much to do that you needn’t leave the hotel grounds to have a good time, but if you are in the mood for exploring, take one of the hotel’s shuttle boats to a nearby island.

The Bottom Line

A stay at the InterContinental is all about indulgence. It doesn’t come cheaply, but many guests still wish they’d extended their stay. That’s a testimony to the hospitality of the staff, the first-class features, and that enviable position in one of Cannes’ most sought-after neighborhoods. It might be expensive, but it’s worth it.

This deliciously pompous Neoclassical option enjoys a prime beachfront position... and ten deluxe suites on the top floor, each with unsurpassed sea views.
The constantly renovated, luxurious rooms are extremely comfortable, and the hotel's thirteen-room penthouse is unquestionably the most "Imperial Suite" on the Riviera.
