More About Hotels near Bank of America Stadium...

A Good Choice of Three- and Four-Star Hotels

Looking for a reasonably priced hotel close to Bank of America Stadium? There are many options in downtown Charlotte. Most hotels around the stadium are three- or four-star chain hotels including the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Charlotte, the Charlotte Marriott City Center Hotel, Hyatt House Charlotte Center City, and The Westin Charlotte. Hotels in Charlotte usually don’t raise room rates during major games. However, in past years, room scalpers have been booking rooms during busy times and advertising higher prices online. Make sure you contact the hotels directly to get information about availability.

Seeking Budget Hotels for Affordable Accommodations

There are no hostels in Charlotte, but budget accommodations are available. Budget Inn Hotel, for example, offers affordable lodging. It’s 4.3 miles from the stadium, but there is a train station shuttle right outside the hotel. The Knights Inn is slightly closer (2.8 miles) and offers free breakfast, Internet, and parking. Rodeway Inn and Super 8 Downtown on Clanton Road are the pick of the budget hotels but are in slightly less upmarket neighborhoods.

Airbnb: An Inexpensive Alternative

Want to feel like a local during your stay? Check out some of the Airbnb options available. Rent a room at $20 to $50 per night or a house at $90 to $150. The best area is Uptown, but Dilworth and Belmont are also worth checking out. Because pricing is at the owner's discretion, it is very flexible, so don't be surprised if prices rise by a few dollars or more on game days, depending on availability of rooms and the house's proximity to the stadium.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport Has a Great Choice of Flights

With more than 700 flights leaving and landing each day, and seven domestic airlines serving Charlotte Douglas International Airport, finding a flight is fairly easy. Charlotte Douglas is just under 7 miles from the city; getting to the city center by bus or with the new hybrid-electric Sprinter is a breeze.

Getting Around Charlotte Is Easy

Going to the stadium by car on game days is not recommended. Instead, take advantage of the new Lynx Blue Line, a light rail that transports you to within blocks of the stadium. Just get off at Convention Center, Stonewall, or Carson stops. Another option is the game-day taxi service on Church Street, two blocks northeast of the stadium. You can also try the Panthers Bowl Bus, a shuttle service taking you to the game and back for less than the cost of a gallon of gas.

Looking For a Last-Minute Cheap Ticket?

Look no further than CheapTickets and SeatGeek, where prices range from $20 to $100. SeatGeek has a color-coded rating system, with green for amazing and red for awful, plus you can see each ticket location on the detailed seating map. Your seats probably won't be the best in the house, but you can't beat the prices.

With a great choice of reasonably priced accommodation alternatives, easy and regular public transportation, and plenty of flights in and out of the city, catching a Panthers game in Charlotte has never been easier.
