Enjoy Friendly Hospitality at DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Magnificent Mile

Comfortable Rooms for All Guests

From the moment you arrive at the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago – Magnificent Mile and receive a complimentary warm cookie, you know you're going to be cared for. This is a hotel which aims to feel like a home away from home, with spacious guestrooms fitted with crisp white linens, in-room coffee makers, flat-screen televisions, and ergonomic work stations.

It wants to make all guests feel welcome, so it offers a range of specialty rooms to complement its standard suites. Pure Allergy Friendly rooms feature hypoallergenic microfiber bedding, sanitized climate control, and in-room filtration systems to eliminate asthma and allergy triggers. Accessible rooms feature raised vanities and toilets, grab bars, and roll-in showers or tubs for guests with mobility concerns.

Plenty to Do in the Hotel and its Surroundings

The DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago – Magnificent Mile encourages its guests to get active with a high-tech fitness center and swimming pool. Most Chicago hotel pools are hidden away indoors, but the DoubleTree's pool is on the roof to take advantage of the hotel's enviable views and Chicago's summer weather.

The roof deck also boasts a vegetable and herb garden. Guests can taste the fresh produce in dishes at the onsite Lobby Lounge, an eco-conscious restaurant which complements the hotel's more casual dining options.

There is also a diverse array of restaurants close to the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago – Magnificent Mile, as well as plenty of great tourist attractions. Guests can walk to the stores, spas, and eateries of North Michigan Avenue, or the lakefront just a couple of blocks away. The hotel's also close to the CTA Red Line station for exploring further afield.

First Class Location on the Magnificent Mile

Travelers who want to be close to the action won't be disappointed with the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago – Magnificent Mile. It's well located in the northern part of Chicago's downtown area, two blocks from Magnificent Mile's shopping and dining precinct and an equal distance from Lake Michigan.

The Bottom Line

The DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago – Magnificent Mile offers the type of personalized, friendly service that travelers don't often see in big cities. In DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile reviews guests remark that the employees are courteous and eager to please.

The hotel cares not just about the people who stay there, but also the planet. It's not uncommon to see hotels claiming to go green by encouraging guests to forgo housekeeping duties. But the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago – Magnificent Mile goes an extra step, rewarding these customers with $8 coupons for its food and beverage outlets.

The hotel doesn't have the opulence of the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago, the Fairmont Chicago at Millennium Park, or even its sister hotel, theWit Chicago - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. However, the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago – Magnificent Mile isn't trying to imitate those lavish establishments. It’s got its own identity which has won over many guests.

Expert Reviews
This 500-room chain hotel two blocks from the Magnificent Mile is nicer than your average Doubletree, but still solidly mid-range.
Set between the Magnificent Mile shopping district and the lively Navy Pier on Lake Michigan, this hotel is nicely located near numerous restaurants and attractions.
This high-rise hotel is actually a few blocks east of Michigan Avenue, but its location and amenities make it a good pick for vacationers with children, especially during the summer.
