Contemporary Luxury Near the Magnificent Mile

Bask in Modern Convenience and Style

The striking lines of the Hyatt Regency Chicago's spacious, glass-enclosed atrium are more than just beautiful. This space is extremely functional with new self-service, check-in pods. For efficient check-in, guests may also use the Hyatt's FastBoard PDA(TM) Check-in.

For guests requiring assistance or dinner suggestions, the gracious Hyatt staff members attend to all needs. They're even social. Visitors can ask for help from the concierge, even when they are out exploring the Windy City, by tweeting @HyattChicago.

The Hyatt provides free Wi-Fi in its lobby, skybridge, and restaurant areas. In-room Wi-Fi is billed at a daily rate with several speed choices.

Guest rooms are spacious with many amenities, including iHome alarm clocks, premium cable channels, coffee makers, pillow-top beds, and much more. Hyatt also offers PURE hypoallergenic rooms. These rooms undergo a six-step process to reduce allergens and airborne irritants, including using a state-of-the-art air purification system.

Guests will need to leave Fido at home if they're coming to the Hyatt. The hotel has a service-dogs-only policy.

Indulge in Impressive Views and Dining

The recently renovated Hyatt Regency is difficult to miss as it soars above the Chicago River. This luxury hotel features skyline and river views as well as award-winning dining options. Guests enjoying craft beers will find the beer flight at American Craft Kitchen & Bar much to their liking, or try the BIG bar, where everything is supersized. The ambiance at Stetsons Modern Steak + Sushi rivals that of the top steak houses in Chicago, but with a modern twist. At Stetsons, diners are offered flexible portions of "thoughtfully-sourced natural beef, sustainable seafood, and organic produce." The dishes have an international flare and may be enjoyed individually or shared.

The Hyatt also offers a 24-hour food store for those late-night cravings.

Leave the Car at Home

The Hyatt Regency Chicago is perched along the Chicago River with access to the River Walk (and the perfect spot to watch the river turn green in honor of St. Patrick's Day). Guests will enjoy the nearby Magnificent Mile, the Windy City's world-renowned shopping district. The Navy Pier and Millennium Park are also nearby. Want to see the city by boat? No problem. Catch one right outside the door to Wacker Drive.

For budget-minded visitors, it's best to leave the car at home. The Hyatt, like most downtown Chicago hotels, charges for parking. The city is extremely accessible via public transportation and cabs, and most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance of this location.

Hipmunk Staff Review

The Hyatt Regency Chicago is often compared to its neighbor the Swissotel, a comparably priced hotel. Both carry the exclusive four-diamond rating from AAA and offer beautiful views of the city.

As the city's largest hotel, the Hyatt Regency Chicago offers some programs that the Swissotel does not, including children's activities. Plus, many of the daily fees are less expensive at the Hyatt, such as parking and Internet access.
