Expert Reviews
“The grande dame of Chicago hotels” is renowned for the “spectacular” decorated ceiling in its Gilded Age lobby (“worth seeing even if you’re not a guest”) but “not the rooms” so much.
Although standard rooms tend to run small, they were rejuvenated with the Palmer House's history in mind, so that each is individually decorated with turn-of-the-century details and art.
Michelin Guide
From spacious, attractive, and updated accommodations to fine dining at the lovely Lockwood restaurant, the Palmer House lives as comfortably within the 21st century as it did in the 19th.
