Dubai Museum, built in 1787, was the home of the Monarch at Al Fahidi Fort.  In fact, after being a home it was a fort, weapons depot, and a prison. Its official opening as a museum was in 1971. As you walk through the museum today you’ll go back in time. With the use of audio and video you’ll see original samples of drawings and diagrams. Different wings throughout the fort enable you to gain knowledge about pearl diving, ship building, pottery, weapons, and tombs. Be sure to see the 1950’s Market Wing too.
