Modern and Georgian Traditional Collide at the Beresford Hotel

Stay Mere Steps from O’Connell Street Shopping

Located 400 meters from Dublin’s main thoroughfare, the Beresford Hotel boasts a prime location in the City Centre near the popular Temple Bar. With a view of the historic Custom House building, this part-Georgian hotel has all the modern conveniences you should expect, with classic touches for an authentic Dublin experience. Being in the heart of the city, guests at the Beresford Hotel can take advantage of river cruises, splash tours, sea safaris, and visits to major attractions including The Gate Theatre, Aviva Stadium, Old Jameson Distillery, James Joyce Cultural Center, Dublin Zoo, and the Dublin Writers Museum.

Enjoy Italian Dining Right Here in Dublin

Guests don’t have to go far to experience some of the best cuisine in town. The Beresford Hotel’s restaurant, Il Vignardo, is a traditional Italian dining experience with vine-draped ceilings, exposed brick walls, honeyed wood finishes, and a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy a diverse menu that features classics from the Campania and Tuscany regions and combines them with local Irish ingredients for a taste meant to be savored. Pre-theatre dinner is served, so you can dine prior to attending a show at the Abbey Theatre, the O2, or the famous Gate Theatre.

When you need to unwind or meet for lunch, the on-site Le Monde Cafe Bar is the perfect venue. Business travelers will also appreciate the conference centre and services that make business a pleasure.

Choose From Modern or Traditional Accommodations

The Beresford Hotel is a unique property in Dublin because it offers contemporary guest rooms and classic Georgian suites, providing guests with the best of both worlds. Standard room facilities include complimentary Wi-Fi, secure bedroom key technology, tea tray service, toiletries, LCD television, ironing board, and hair dryer. Georgian suites offer the same amenities, but these breathtaking rooms have been restored to their former Georgian glory. They’re also located in the historic part of the hotel that was home to James Gandon, the designer of the Customs House.

The Bottom Line

Standard rooms at the Beresford Hotel are surprisingly affordable, and the prime location makes this accommodation a bargain. Bed & breakfast options and the Georgian suites, however, come at higher rates, though they are ideal for creating a special occasion to be remembered. The nearby Ripley Court Hotel offer similar amenities, but isn’t as updated with the same level of modern decor as the Beresford Hotel.
