Contemporary and Central Hotel

On the Green

O’Callaghan Stephens Green Hotel is literally across the street from the famous Dublin park St. Stephen’s Green. Such a great location provides access to almost all downtown Dublin attractions in less than a 20-minute walk. What truly sets the style for this hotel apart from others, however, is the gracious and unique blending of the restored Georgian-styled townhouses of its façade against its large glass atrium lobby. With two beautiful Georgian buildings, this hotel is a beautiful blending of modern and classic architecture.

Romantic Getaway

Although not a luxury hotel, it does cater to business travelers and couples. To cement this fact, most all rooms only allow up to one child as a guest. Families can stay at the hotel of course, but if you have two or more children the only option is to get multiple rooms. For couples, the romantic library fireplace is a great location for before or after dinner drinks and a quality atmosphere for conversation. Business travelers can enjoy the various boardrooms for meetings from 10 to 50 delegates and enjoy cocktail hour in the bar.

Best Location

This is probably one of the single best locations in Dublin.  An easy 20-minute walk gets you to all downtown attractions, such as Dublin Castle, the Book of Kells, and the Museum District. For those used to long walks, even Guinness and Jameson Distilleries can both be reached in around 30 minutes. Strolling through these areas will provide ample opportunity to view the finer details of Dublin architecture. The only parts of downtown Dublin farther out are the waterfront area and docks and the Convention Center Dublin. Easy metro access (the tube or subway) provides a quick solution.

Just Enough

Four room categories, including 89 rooms and 10 suites, offer just enough choices for small families, couples, or business travelers. The Twin offers just two twin beds, while the King, Executive King, and Junior Suites all offer King size beds. None of the rooms are ideal for a family of four but are just perfect for couples or two individuals. Expect comfort and relaxation.

The Bottom Line

Leave the children at home and enjoy a King suite and the amazing environs of historic downtown Dublin. With a quality Irish-styled restaurant, fitness facilities, and great business options available on-site, couples and those traveling on business will enjoy this hotel the most.
