Hotel Indigo Edinburgh — Boutique Hotel in Heart of the City

What do the Rooms Include?

The 60 rooms are available in Classic bedrooms or Junior suite styles. All come with the best in style and comfort. Standard in all rooms is air conditioning, 32" HD LCD TVs with international cable and satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, and direct-dial phones. Business travelers enjoy the working desk while everyone enjoys the complimentary snacks and soft drinks found in the minibar. All rooms also have bathrobes, toiletries, hair dryers, and makeup/shaving mirrors. The suites have a separate lounge area for relaxing in comfort before sinking into the bed made with plush Egyptian cotton.

What Amenities are Available?

The Hotel Indigo Edinburgh is a boutique hotel with a unique feel. Located minutes from the Waverley Train Station, the historic hotel is found on York Place in the heart of the capital city of Edinburgh. On-site you will find food, fitness, and many complimentary amenities, as well as rooms to accommodate every traveler's taste. The Turquoise Thistle Restaurant Bar and Lounge offers freshly made culinary masterpieces at affordable prices. The  Georgian Restaurant offers a vibrant contemporary color and feel. After dinner, guests can enjoy a workout in the fitness suite before retiring to their comfortable rooms.

What are the Rates Like?

While it’s not one of the cheapest hotels in Edinburgh, prices are reasonable. Standard rooms start at about $200, while Executive rooms are priced around $250. Edinburgh hosts a number of cultural festivals each year when the weather warms up, so be aware that rates go up when the crowds descend on this beautiful city.

What’s the Bottom Line?

The Hotel Indigo is truly unique in that it mixes the rich history of the area and the building with contemporary colors and comforts. The on-site restaurant prepares fresh cuisine from local produce, while the rooms offer a cozy haven for downtime. The Murrayfield House is another boutique hotel in the area, and both are beautiful and centrally located. The Hotel Indigo is better for those who enjoy historical architecture.
