Luxury Accommodation in the Heart of Edmonton

Large Space with Modern Amenities

Opened in 1974, the Westin Edmonton has 416 spacious contemporary guests rooms and suites directly in the centre of downtown. It is home to Edmonton’s largest ballroom, and hosts 24,000 square feet of event space, making it ideal for business conferences, special events, and meetings. Also available are twenty-five meeting rooms, the latest technology and available catering. On site dining at the Share Cafe and Share Lounge provides fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a menu enriched with superfoods so you’ll stay healthy on the road. Guests will enjoy the specialty table-side service and preparation.

Convenience and Comfort for Business Travellers

The Westin Edmonton is attached to the Shaw Conference Centre and sits in the middle of Edmonton’s business district. All rooms have flat screen TVs, coffee makers with Starbucks coffee, and spacious work desks. In-room spa treatments are available to help travellers feel at home. Relax and unwind with food and drinks in the lobby available nightly, and mingle with fellow guests, or take advantage of the gym, indoor pool, and sauna. Sleep soundly in one of the Westin’s signature Heavenly Beds and wake up with the energy to enjoy your day. Ask for a high south-facing room for fantastic views over the river valley.

Central Downtown Right on the River

Located on the Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton’s main city square, entertainment is aplenty. Nearby you will find the Citadel Theatre, the Winspear Centre symphony and concert hall, and the Art Gallery of Alberta. Next door there are plenty of shops and restaurants at the City Centre mall. Five minutes away is the Old Strathcona Historic District for more shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as theatres, buskers, and performance venues aplenty. The Westin Edmonton sits next to the North Saskatchewan River, and is steps away from trails for running and walking. Golfers will enjoy the nearby Riverside Golf Club and several other golf courses along the river.

The Bottom Line

The Westin Edmonton is a step above neighboring hotels and provides guests with superior accommodation for a comfortable and successful stay. While you may pay slightly more than somewhere like the Sutton Place Hotel, the rates are a better value for the area, ease, and amenities. Business travellers may reap the most benefits from this hotel, but it’s also great for leisure, events, and special occasions.
