A Luxurious Urban Resort

No Need to Leave

At the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze* you may feel like you never need to leave. The hotel is an urban resort, technically in the historic downtown district, but in reality on its fringe. Like many Four Seasons locations, this five-star luxury resort hotel leaves many guests breathless with its beautiful decor, gorgeous grounds. and spacious rooms with amazing details like deep soaker tubs. It is a hotel experience you will not soon forget.

Calming Private Park

Four Seasons hotels and resorts encourage guests to relax and the  Hotel Firenze is no exception with its private sculpture gardens, outdoor pool and bar, and private park that offers romantic strolls through a maturely treed area. More luxury amenities including valet parking, spa and hair salon, supervised childcare activities, and a 24-hour business center are there to meet your needs.

Not Close but not Too Far

This hotel is technically part of the historic downtown district, but some downtown attractions are a 30-minute walk away. However, this hotel is in the perfect spot for visiting the Duomo or Wonders of the Uffizi Gallery. As its neighborhood is not the best, use a taxi or hotel shuttle to reach your destination. Less time walking provides the opportunity to use on-site amenities like the spa that offers body scrubs, body wraps, hot stone massages, as well as hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and facial treatments.

The Lap of Luxury

There are a wealth of different rooms and suites available at this hotel that hold between two and four guests. With no queen-size bed options, you may want to select the king-size bed instead of two twins. Each room includes the deep soaking tub, bathrobes, a minibar, designer toiletries, an in-room safe, turn-down service and complementary infant beds or cribs. Room service is also available 24 hours a day but expect to pay a premium for Internet service. Elegant decor includes marble, vaulted and paneled ceilings, chandeliers, and large windows.

The Bottom Line

If you like all that is pleasing to the eye and do not mind paying for your visual pleasure, this hotel offers excellent decor. On-site amenities and the amazing adjoining sculpture gardens and private park offset the inconveniences of higher transportation costs to reach local attractions and a less pleasing neighborhood. In fact, you will not even notice the neighborhood once you're safely inside this luxury hotel.

The 11-acre botanical garden that is home to these two restored Renaissance buildings—a fifteenth-century palazzo and a sixteenth-century convent—is "like heaven."
Insight Guides
Two Renaissance palazzi – the Gherardesca and the Conventino – have been converted by the Four Seasons group to become a new contender for the title of Florence’s top hotel.
