No matter where visitors choose to stay in Harbordale, they're always near the bus. Whether they want to visit the Harbordale Spirit Shoppe or the Harbordale YMCA, there's a stop likely waiting outside their door. The SE 17 goes all over, with coded maps that make it easy to stay on track. That doesn't even count the rental cars or taxis in the neighborhood.
Because Harbordale is such a delightful place to stay, there are several hotels in and around the area. Some are quite close but all are within three miles at most, which allows visitors to use the public transit. They range in price, with the Holiday Inn Express and the Comfort Suites affordable for all budgets.
To indulge a little, guests are perfectly spoiled for choice. The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is unbelievably inexpensive, while the Embassy Suites are a bit costly, but still well within reach. Travelers who choose to go all out, however, may consider the Alhambra Beach Resort, although it's a bit farther away from Harbordale proper.
There's no bad time to visit Harbordale, although there are times that require early booking. Springtime is typically crowded, as college students from all over the country descend on Ft. Lauderdale. A visit in summer is ideal, but guests should come ready to pay summertime prices. In fall and winter, the weather is still dreamy, but the costs of rooms and activities typically decrease.
