Even though Ft. Myers isn’t as ritzy as other Florida destinations (like Miami and Orlando), there is still plenty to do to stay entertained. You can interact with the wildlife on one of the many tours such as a manatee-watching kayak trip. You can tour the Edison & Ford Winter Estates to get an inside view of the history and culture of the area. Additionally, you can visit Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve and bask in the nature and beauty it offers.

Stay on the Beach for Less

Undoubtedly the best part of Ft. Myers is the sugary white sand beaches. You may think staying at Ft. Myers hotels on the beach would be out of your budget, but trust me when I say there are hotels on the beach that are beyond affordable if you travel during the right time of year.

Both Pierview Hotel & Suites* and Tip Top Isles Waterfront Resort and Marina* are located on the beach and are less than $75 per night. These go to show a luxury vacation to Ft Myers can become a reality regardless of your budget. There are many other affordable hotels around Ft Myers where the beach is but a short trip away.
