Glendale is a city in the San Fernando Valley that is home to a large Armenian population. It is a lovely suburb with a bustling downtown area and convenient access to Burbank, Pasadena, downtown L.A., and Los Feliz. A major attraction in Glendale is the Americana, a posh outdoor mall with a theater, restaurants, and an impressive dancing fountain. Forest Lawn Memorial Park hosts an impressive display of art and architecture and is the burial site of many notable entertainers. Michael Jackson's tomb is inside the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn, though it is not public. Glendale it is surrounded by mountainous landscape and borders Griffith Park. Brand Park is a lovely natural setting at the foot of the Verdugo Mountains where you can do some serious hiking on trails that are never crowded.
