Five-star Luxury in a Historical Setting

Close Proximity to Sightseeing

Travel back in time to an era of old-world luxury. Designed by Theodor Hoijer for Carl Kamp in 1887, Hotel Kamp boasts neo-classical architectural details with ornamental cornice pieces and dentil moulding. Across from Esplanade Park and just down the street from the port of Helsinki, you'll find both modern shopping and cultural sightseeing within an easy walking distance. Fill a day with visits to Alexander Theater, Old Market Hall, or the nearby World Heritage Site of Suomenlinna Sea Fortress.

Dining Options

Take a trip to the orient with a visit to the hotel's YUME restaurant, where you'll be greeted by low booth seating, hanging barrel lamp shades, geometric lattice dividers, and a shoji screen-inspired ceiling. The menu offers guests a modern interpretation of Asian fare. For traditional European cuisine, book a dinner at Brasserie Kamp. Gallery style dining rooms are flanked by an unbroken wall of windows on one side and stone columns on the other. Don't miss Sunday brunch with its spread of salmon and smoked beef nestled alongside traditional cheeses, pastries, and fresh fruits.

Spa and Fitness

Feel pampered in the hotel day spa. While you relax in a lush chaise lounge, choose from treatments like an aromatherapy massage, hot stone treatment, or jet-lag eliminator massage. Later, take advantage of the gym with its fitness and nutritional coaches. Open to monthly members, it offers strength training and aerobic exercise machines.

Book a Room with History

Select from eight choices of rooms or suites, each with marble bathrooms, colorful drapes, plush arm chairs, and fresh flowers to greet each guest. Ask about amenities for guests with special needs, such as hypoallergenic rooms, adjoining suites, or wheelchair-accessible rooms. Book a memorable stay for up to six guests in the two-bedroom suite named after its renowned occupant of 1919, Finnish Field Marshal Mannerheim, who entertained the highest members of political and social society within its walls. Decorated in rich purples and gold, the suite speaks of a bygone era of elegance and glamour. A glittering chandelier and golden draperies grace the head of the sumptuous bed, drawing the eye upward to the soaring ceilings.

Bottom Line

Original artwork, one-of-a-kind lamps and furniture pieces, throw rugs, and polished wood trim welcome you to the golden age of sumptuous luxury. Whether you are indulging in a romantic weekend getaway or an executive business trip, Hotel Kamp will offer you unforgettable hospitality.
