There are a variety of excellent hotels within a half-mile of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. The Verb Hotel and the 1330 Boylston Luxury Apartments by GSA both offer excellent accommodations. The Churchill At Landmark Square is also less than half a mile from the Museum, as are the Luxury Apartments at the Longwood Medical T Stop, and the South End Brownstone.
Just a mile from the Museum of Fine Arts are the Oasis Guest House, Residence Inn Boston Back Bay/Fenway, Churchill at Fenway Triangle Trilogy, and the Brigham Circle Brownstone.
One of the most notable benefits of staying close to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts is that it is so close to another city landmark, Fenway Park. But for those who are more attuned to the fine arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is less than a third of a mile away.
Historic walking tours are less than a half-mile from the museum. Also, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops are nearby. Step back in time along the Freedom Trail, starting at the Old North Church. There’s also the Boston Public Library and the Huntington Theatre. In fact, the only drawback about being so close to the Museum of Fine Arts is that there are so many other places to explore while in Boston, you may not be able to fit them all in.
Be aware that the museum's hours of operation change in the middle of the week. It opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 9:45 p.m., Wednesday through Friday. However, from Saturday through Tuesday, the museum closes at 4:45 p.m.
