Luxurious Resort in Koh Samui

Island Living

Nestled along a private white sand beach, the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui offers guests a luxurious stay in idyllic island surroundings. Plentiful amenities, including a full-service spa and delicious dining options, perfectly complement the abundant choice of attractions found near the resort.

Delicious Cuisine

Savor authentic island flavors at the KOH Thai Kitchen and Bar or sample succulent seafood at the beachfront Pla Pla. The hotel also offers two distinct dining experiences: Bounty of Thailand blends Thai cuisine with island folklore, while Sunday nights play host to a delicious beach barbecue. Private dining experiences, such as a romantic picnic at the hotel’s private cove, are also available.

Endless Relaxation

Relax at the Four Seasons Spa. The Samui Coconut Scrub and Jewel of Siam are among those treatments promising a traditional Thai experience, but there’s plenty more to enjoy. Try a Biorhythm Restoring, Samui Detox, or New Moon ritual, or choose a little something from the Sun Lounger’s spa menu and have your pampering treatment right on the beach. Couples will enjoy the Samui Lovers’ Ritual, Couple’s Connection, and the Divine Night Ritual.

Exciting Excursions

As difficult as it will be to tear yourself away from the luxuries of the resort, Koh Samui has plenty to tempt you out for the day. Take a scenic boat ride to the Angthong National Marine Park, shop at Fisherman’s Village, scuba dive in the Gulf of Thailand, and hike through lush green forest to the Na Muang Waterfalls. Other must-visits include the 15-meter-high Big Buddha and the glistening Laem Sor Pagoda.

Villas with Pools

Each of the 73 villas and private residences feature a private infinity pool and stunning views of Koh Phangan, the Gulf of Siam, or Laem Yai Bay. Practical essentials include a twice-daily housekeeping service, refrigerated private bar, cable television, and iPod docking station. One- to five-bedroom private residences — perfect for families — include extra amenities such as larger pools, fully stocked private bars, and indoor dining area.

The Bottom Line

Four Seasons resorts are always something special, but the welcoming service and exceptional facilities here encourage plenty of reviewers to talk about the Four Seasons as the best resort in Koh Samui. If you plan on enjoying a private dining experience, it’s worth emailing the concierge ahead of your stay to confirm your spot. These experiences are naturally limited to one couple each night.

The villas all come with expansive Gulf of Thailand views (including from the tub), as well as decks with big plunge pools, shaded daybeds, and a stocked wine fridge.

I usually prefer an active holiday – cycling, trekking or similar – but every now and again I really love to spend a day (or three! ) at the beach doing next to nothing. It’s not so much...
Thankfully, as Asia is so big, there’s always somewhere to go that’s dry - so I thought I’d write a quick blog about how to avoid the wet and chase the sunshine.
The adjacent dining pavilion Pla Pla... is a romantic dinner spot, and the hilltop restaurant Lan Tania highlights indigenous dishes like coconut beef curry and steamed fish with lemongrass.
