More About Hotels near MGM Grand Garden Arena...

What's MGM Grand Garden Arena?

The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada is located in the District of the MGM Grand resort and is home to title fights, top concerts, premier sporting action, and special events. The MGM is at the southern end of the strip across from New York, New York, Excalibur, and the venerable Tropicana. The resort often offers economical deals on room and ticket packages.

Which Hotels Have the Best View Near MGM Grand Garden Arena?

Las Vegas arena hotels have some of the best views of the non-strip surrounding areas. The Tropicana Paradise tower room on higher floors provides a nice view of the strip, while some of its Club Tower rooms face the airport. The high west-facing rooms at the Luxor, Excalibur, New York-New York, and Mandalay Bay have nice views of the mountains particularly at sunset when they take on an orange hue.

What are the Benefits and Drawbacks of Staying Near MGM Grand Garden Arena?

The hotels on the south end of the strip are more economical than some of the newer ones to the north. You’re also closer to the airport, which means a cheaper taxi ride. The MGM is the last (southern-most) stop on the Las Vegas Monorail and provides easy access to the rest of the strip for $5 a ride. You can also buy an unlimited pass. MGM sits on a busy corner, but pedestrian bridges make the roads easy to cross.

What Do I Need to Know About MGM Grand Garden Arena?

The MGM Grand Garden Area is a large, non-smoking facility and once you are in, there is no re-entry. All sections offer good views and acoustics. Dress, like most of Vegas, runs the gamut. Some people dress up; some do not. Most drink stands in the venue take cash and only a few accept credit cards.  Guests should expect to wait to exit and eat before an event.
