More About Hotels near MGM Grand Las Vegas...

What's MGM Grand?

MGM Grand is a movie-themed casino resort on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. It’s known for its Garden Arena concert and sport venue, which hosts big names in entertainment and boxing title events. It also offers five pools and a lazy river to float all your cares away. Next door you’ll find M&M’s World and the Coca Cola Store.

Which Hotels Have the Best View Near MGM Grand?

The best views depend largely on what you like to look at. If you enjoy the lights from the valley and planes taking off, you’ll want to face southeast at the MGM or the Tropicana. If you prefer the rugged landscape, ask for a room that faces away from the strip at the Excalibur. The Excalibur and Tropicana also offer some beautiful views of the exotic Luxor.

What are the Benefits and Drawbacks of Staying Near MGM Grand?

The MGM Grand is on the south end of the strip, which means you’re close to the airport and will benefit from a cheaper taxi ride. However, you will be doing a bit of walking if you want to see all the strip, unless you take the convenient monorail. You can catch the Las Vegas Monorail behind MGM and take it all the way to the SLS Station on the northern side of the strip in 14 minutes.

What Do I Need to Know About MGM Grand?

The MGM Grand is on a very busy corner of the Vegas Strip, but then again it’s all busy. There are pedestrian bridges in this area that make crossing easier than other spots of the strip. Also, several of the hotels near the Luxor Las Vegas are older, but still a lot of fun. Consider buying an unlimited monorail pass for easy access to all points of the strip.
