The Stratosphere is a casino, resort, and venue filled with heart-thumping thrill rides all in one. There’s a bar and a revolving restaurant that provide amazing views of the area. If dining at eye-level with helicopters is not enough of a thrill for you, try bungee jumping from the tower. There’s also a Big Shot ride that shoots riders 160 feet in the air and free falls back to the launch pad. Thrill seekers will also want to check out the tower's other rides, Insanity and X-Scream.

The Stratosphere Tower commands such a presence, you can see it from most of the strip hotels facing north. However, the best views of the area are found on the tower itself. It’s the tallest freestanding observation deck in the country measuring 1,149 feet high. There’s an indoor observation deck with floor to ceiling windows and an outdoor deck that both offer expansive views.

What are the Benefits and Drawbacks of Staying Near Stratosphere Tower Las Vegas?

The Stratosphere is at the far northern end of the strip, which places you closer to Downtown Vegas.  Some of this area at the end of the strip is less luxurious and everything else is south of you. The Las Vegas Monorail is a cheap way to avoid walking the four miles down and four miles back if you want to see the hotels near Luxor Las Vegas.

What Do I Need to Know About Stratosphere Tower Las Vegas?

Beautiful views aren’t free. If you want to visit the tower, and you’re not staying at the Stratosphere, you can expect to pay around $20 for access. Guests of the Stratosphere pay $12, but the hotel often provides them with free passes. Sunset and evenings are the most popular times to visit and it can get crowded.
