More About Hotels near Wembley Stadium...

Hotels Within Walking Distance

The Hilton London Wembley is the closest hotel to the stadium. Literally steps from the entrance gates, it is the most convenient place to stay for visitors coming to London specifically for matches and special events. Guests will find themselves amazed by the spacious rooms, atypical of standard European hotels. The hotel also has incredible views of the stadium from the lobby and from the in-house restaurant and bar/lounge.

For a more affordable option, look into the Ibis London Wembley. Located less than a half mile from Wembley Stadium and within a ten minute walk to the Wembley Park Tube station, it offers clean and modest rooms for less than Central London prices. It also has a lively sports bar within the hotel so guests who want to stay close to the action, despite being unable to get tickets to the events can find themselves within good company.

The Premier Inn London Wembley is also one of the cheaper hotels in the area. Guests who prefer to stay close to the Tube station can choose to book here. They offer modern rooms just on the edge of Wembley Park. The stadium is within a ten minute walk.

All Around Convenience

Wembley Stadium sits just outside of London, less than ten miles from Baker Street. Visitors planning to come specifically for events at the stadium will find ample activities to do. The area has plenty of surrounding parks for outdoor activities. There is also an adjacent retail center that offers plenty of shopping and dining options without the chaos of Central London. The nearby Tokyngton Recreation Ground has an outdoor football pitch and walking trails suited for those who love nature. A couple of miles to the west is the Vale Farm Sport Centre. It offers a large gym with multiple cycling and weight training facilities.

The stadium’s location however, makes exploring the major sites and attractions of London a bit of a challenge. Staying in the Wembley Park area does not have the added convenience of being able to walk from your hotel to visit The Tower of London, the London Eye, or Westminster Abbey. The closest Tube station remains a ten-minute walk from most of the hotels and limits your options to fully enjoy the London nightlife.

Re-live the Past and Enjoy the Present

The stadium broke ground in 2002 and took five years to complete at a staggering cost of 757 million pounds. It was one of the most expensive stadiums ever built. In the next few months, Wembley will host three England football matches and three more American football matches. Ticket prices for England’s matches begin at ten pounds and can be purchased through the Football Association website. Please note however, that regular tickets for all the American football matches are sold out. Only hospitality packages are available at this time.

In addition to being center stage for some of the world’s biggest sporting and musical events, Wembley Stadium also offers a 75-minute tour that highlights the football history of England, past details of special events like the Live Aid concert held in 1985, and other tidbits about some of the most famous football matches that the stadium has hosted. Adult tickets for the tour are 16 pounds and are available on Wembley's website.
