More About Hotels near University of Miami...

Budget Friendly Hotels

If you are visiting the school, and want to stay in a hotel close to campus, you have a couple of options. There is a Holiday Inn near campus where many students choose to stay with their parents during their visit. Depending on the season, this hotel is around $150 per night for a standard room. It is also a popular choice for parents coming for graduation as well, but make sure you book early. This hotel books up fast when there are events at the University of Miami.

Another more economical option is the Best Miami Hotel near campus, although you will sacrifice amenities for that affordability. The rates average around $70 per night. The Residence Inn and Gables Inn are both located near the University as well, and average around $100 per night.

Airbnb Options

If you would prefer to stay in an apartment or home instead of a hotel, there are options available on Airbnb to rent rooms in a home or rent the entire home. If you want to rent the entire apartment or home, expect to pay anywhere from $200 to $750 per night depending on the size of the home. Private rooms are also available near the University for $40 to $200 per night. The rooms tend to book up more during the spring because of spring break vacationers. There are not any shared rooms available near the University which is typically the most economical option.

Sun Life Stadium

Many people travel to the area to watch the Miami Hurricanes or to watch the Orange Bowl at Sun Life Stadium. Sun Life Stadium, however, is not located on campus, and is about 14 miles from campus in Miami Gardens. If you're traveling from campus, there are affordable public transportation options available with the train and the bus. Taxis or Uber are also options to get to the stadium although traffic tends to be bad when there are major events at the stadium. If you’re in town to go to a concert at Sun Life or to watch the Hurricane’s football, you may want to look into hotels near the stadium instead.

The Hotel Roma is typically the most budget-friendly hotel, averaging around $60 per night. The Quality Inn is also near the stadium, but is typically around $100 per night for a room. If you would like better amenities, you could consider the Best Western, which averages around $170 per night and is also relatively close to the stadium.

Coral Gables by Seasons

Coral Gables has a mild climate that tourists enjoy year round. Their high season tends to be during late winter and spring, where it is much warmer in the Miami area than most of the United States. Many people try to avoid the area in the summer because of hurricane season. Powerful thunderstorms can hit the area, quickly ruining your beach day. Coral Gables is especially popular during football season even at the beginning when hurricane season is in full force.

The University of Miami has a lot to offer whether you are a student or if you’re just visiting. Depending on where you want to stay and your budget, there is a range of options for you to choose from.
