More About Hotels near Bronze Fonz...

Bronzie

Perched on the east side of the Milwaukee River walk you will find one of the city’s most famous sons. Immortalized in 2008, the “Bronze Fonz” was erected to pay homage to Arthur Fonzarelli, lovingly known as “The Fonz” or “Fonzie” on the popular television series Happy Days. This life like statue brings smiles to visitor’s faces much like the beloved TV character, played by Henry Winkler, did to millions of viewers each week in the 70’s and early 80’s. With its tourist friendly location, snapping a picture with “The Fonz” is a breeze. Some people pleasantly stumble upon it while touring the city’s River Walk, while die-hard fans seek him out.

Top off your Happy Day with a Treat

After a day of site seeing or strolling the River Walk, why not treat yourself with a frozen custard from Kopp’s. This famous ice cream shop is a city favorite and its Glendale location is said to be the inspiration behind Arnolds, the fictional diner the Happy Days gang would hangout in. Sadly there is no jukebox to magically start with a bump from your hip.

Staying Happy in Milwaukee

Accommodations within a short walk from the “Bronz Fonz” are plentiful as the statue is located in downtown Milwaukee. For those wanting to look good in that leather jacket or tight Fonzie jeans, try the Milwaukee Athletic Club. There you will find modest accommodations with the added perk of all that the club has to offer. Work out in the gym or hit the court for a game of pickup basketball. Ease the day away in the steam room or kick back in your room.

If you are looking to stay in style, the Intercontinental Milwaukee is a short walk away. This high-end hotel offers rooms that are chic and modern. Stylish furniture with wood and glass finishing highlight the guest rooms and the hotels onsite bar, CLEAR, is a popular city hangout – the perfect place for you to channel your inner ‘Fonzie.”
