Historic Grounds to Discover

Although ranked as one of the top 100 Universities in the United States, Marquette offers visitors more than an education. Strolling the universities well-manicured grounds is a pleasure as is visiting the St.Joan of Arc Chapel, which is located in the middle of the campus. This tiny chapel was originally constructed south of Lyon France in the 15th Century. It was abandoned after World War I and was consequently moved, brick by brick, to New York. It was donated to the university in 1964 and once again deconstructed and rebuilt.

Game on.

If you are not in Milwaukee scouting the university for fall semester, or taking in the schools historic architecture then why not enjoy an NCAA Division I game? As part of the Big East Conference, the Golden Eagles represent the university in volleyball, soccer, and basketball with the latter making it to the Elite Eight during the 2013 March Madness NCAA tournament. Known as one of the best basketball cities in the United States makes catching a game at Marquette University a sports fan must.
