“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”
The three main attractions of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve are the Olympic Park stadium, the Biodome and the Botanical Gardens. Built for the 1976 Olympic games, the stadium’s signature tower is the tallest leaning structure in the world. You can take an elevator ride up to the top to witness another view of the city. The stadium provides guided tours daily and hosts various exhibits and shows. Second only to those in London, the Botanical Gardens are the next largest in the world with the biggest Chinese garden outside of Asia. The Insectarium, part of the Gardens, displays both live and formerly living insects. Exhibits change with the seasons. Children and parents love the butterfly exhibit in the spring and the Chinese lanterns in the fall. The Biodome is a living museum and houses various species from Capybaras to penguins. Families learn about different eco-systems and their habitants.
