Rocco Forte The Charles Hotel -- Five-Star Lux in the Heart of Munich

Luxury Hotel in Munich's City Center

The Charles Hotel offers guests a central location near mass transit, world-class shopping, and culture. This exquisite hotel features a richly luxurious atmosphere. Guest experience ranges from luxury rooms and full spa, to five-star meals and a lounge with outstanding wines, beers, and cocktails. This is a perfect location for wedding parties, business travelers, and vacationers.

Luxury Hotel Near Kings Square

Rocco Forte The Charles Hotel is a five-star luxury hotel in the heart of Munich. This exquisite hotel is near the Alte Pinakothek, a museum holding the world's oldest gallery. The Frauenkirche is the Cathedral of Our Dear Lady and is located just blocks away. The area is richly cultural and offers splendid vistas. The Konigsplatz or the King's Square is a Neo-Classic cultural center within walking distance of the hotel. The mass transit hub provides access to Munich, Germany, and Europe.

Affordable Five-Star Hotel in Historic Munich

The Munich City Center is full of culture. Guests of the hotel enjoy quaint boutiques, shops, and cafes found along the easy to navigate neighborhood streets. Head down the Maximilianstraße and enjoy the exclusive side of Munich. This is the location of the Bavarian State Opera. And, don't be surprised if you feel as though you are in Italy; Munich is fondly referred to as Italy's most northern city.

Perfect Luxury accommodations

As one of Munich's most exquisite hotels, the Charles Hotel offers luxury accommodations such as a minibar and spacious bathrooms with separate bathtubs and showers. Guests sleep in comfort on premium bedding. Deluxe rooms include a king-sized bed while classic rooms feature a double bed. Each room has access to WiFi, a small surcharge applies. In addition to the luxury of each room or suite, the Charles Hotel offers a full-service spa. Luxury suites are expandable to five full rooms, and the presidential suite occupies an entire floor.

The Bottom Line

Munich offers several five-star hotels. The economical Charles Hotel by Rocco Forte offers 160 guest rooms as compared to the Hotel Konigshof, which offers only 103 rooms. While both hotels offer five-star lux accommodations to their guests, the Charles Hotel features a more recent 2007 remodel, whereas the Konigsh Hotel's most recent remodel occurred in 2002. The Charles Hotel was not only designed by Olga Polizzi, but also resides within Munich's old Botanical Gardens. Expect the best service, outstanding views, and in-house luxuries, such as a full spa.
