The Westin Grand Munich - The Perfect Connection

Welcome to Style and Luxury

The Westin Grand Munich is a welcome haven for business travelers, families, and couples. The hotel features 627 guest rooms and 21 meeting rooms. The hotel can host events for 1250 people. In-house dining consists of several restaurants, Ducktails Bar and Cafe & Grapperia. Go ahead and enjoy dessert, the Westin Grand Arabellapark features a full gym and over 1500 square meters of spa facilities. This five-star hotel is your perfect connection to all of Munich.

Welcome to Munich's Bogenhausen

Bogenhausen sits in the northeast corner of Munich and represents some of Munichs most desirable residential neighborhoods. This makes the area around the Westin Grand Arabellapark quiet. That is a desired trait for those who guest here. The good news is that Arabellapark is nicely connected to all of the hot spots via mass transit. Within Borgenhausen, guests have access to grocery stores and smaller restaurants with an excellent range of food. Nearby restaurants include Audry's Food & Flavor, Die Ente, and Rosy's Welt.

Fun, Shopping, and Culture

Getting around in Bogenhausen is easy. The underground serves the area nicely via the U4 trains. The S8 train (above ground) connect guests with all of Munich. Buses also serve guests well. The S8 makes it an easy trip to the airport, shopping and downtown Munich. We are in Munich, and there is wonderful beer gardens throughout Borgenhousen. A good stop is the Chinese Tower inside of the English Garden. The Englischer Garten is a park filled with awesome destinations. The English Garden is just over the Isar river along the northern boundary of Bogenhausen.

The Westin Grand Amenities

Standard rooms are 30 meters square; suites range from 60-160 meters square. The styling is amazingly swank. The Heavenly Beds are just that. Each standard room has a coffee or tea maker, and available WAN/LAN. The Grand Delux rooms have LCD TV. The Executive Club rooms have access to the Club Lounge and come with daily newspaper. The Grand Suites offer walk-in closets and style.

The Bottom Line

The Westin Grand Arabellapark is five-star quality at economical prices. It offers a quiet location with very easy access to all of Munich. Compared to other five-star hotels in the area, the Western Grand offers outstanding value with rooms starting at $166 per night compared to $362 a night at The Charles Hotel or $510 per night at Hotel Koenigshof.

Expert Reviews
Frommer's
This is the largest hotel in Munich, set in the northern suburb of Bogenhausen, about seven subway stops from downtown Munich.
DK Eyewitness
Twenty-two floors with 643 rooms (31 suites) and a view all the way to the Alps. Fine dining is guaranteed at the gourmet restaurant, Ente vom Lehel.
Fodor's
The building itself... may raise a few eyebrows as it stands on a slight elevation and is not the shapeliest of the Munich skyline. What goes on inside, however, is sheer five-star luxury.
