This perfectly adequate mid-range hotel in the Central Business District, a block from the Charles streetcar line, has more history and character than your typical chain.
Overall, the Whitney has more character than your average upscale chain, so it ultimately gets a positive vote. And if you are a preservationist, you will probably like it a lot.
