A Hip and Modern Stay at Hotel Americano

What Do the Rooms Include?

Simple and hip, Hotel Americano’s sleek and minimalist design enhances its compact rooms. There are three kinds of rooms to choose from: Uptown Studio, Uptown Queen, and Downtown King. Each offers a wooden platform bed, personal iPad, stocked minibars, and blackout blinds.

What Amenities/Features are Available?

A stay at Hotel Americano includes bicycle rentals and free Wi-Fi. The rooftop lounge on the 14th floor of the hotel is the hottest feature, with outdoor decks, a bar and grill, and ample lounging space. In addition to the two on-site restaurants, the Grill at La Piscine and the Americano, the hotel has a couple of dining rooms for private functions.

How Much Will a Stay at Hotel Americano Cost?

New York City hotels run the gamut in prices, and Hotel Americano sits nicely in the middle: not cheap, but not exorbitant either. An Uptown Queen averages $295 a night, an Uptown King is $335, and an Uptown Studio is $455.

What’s There to Do Nearby?

Hotel Americano is on the lower west side of Manhattan in the Chelsea neighborhood. This popular neighborhood is close to several cool NYC spots, including the High Line and Chelsea Market. It is a quick 10-minute walk to Penn Station and Midtown.

What’s the Bottom Line?

As a luxury boutique hotel, Hotel Americano attracts a crowd interested in art and design. The rooftop pool scene in the summer is particularly appealing, and its spot in the popular Chelsea neighborhood makes it close to many activities and sites. Though it's not the cheapest option in the city, when you consider the hip ambiance, many amenities, and location, the Hotel Americano is well worth the price tag.

Capturing the artistic and stylish spirit of Chelsea, the Hotel Americano is a boutique property with an industrial edge overlooking the High Line.
Condé Nast Traveler
A 56-room high-design hotel on the northern edge of Chelsea’s art-and-shopping district, between the High Line elevated railway-turned-park and the Hudson River bike path.

While the property could use better door service for 10th Avenue taxi pickups, we love that New York’s of-the-moment neighborhood finally has a stylish hotel to call its own.
