Lonely Planet
The snazzy 100-room 60 Thompson is definitely a place to be seen, either in the futurist Thai restaurant Kittichai, or swirling cocktails on the rooftop Thom Bar.
With its huge street-facing windows, low-rise sofas, soft lighting and piped-in ambient music, the second-floor lounge-like lobby is a great place to people watch.
"If you want to experience the best of SoHo, you can't beat the location" of this "hip and trendy" boutique hotel, which also wins points for the "sleek decor" in the "comfortable" quarters.
