Crystal Cove State Park offers a rustic retreat from the polished glamor of most of Newport Beach. The park features three beach areas and an underwater park with highlights for snorkelers and scuba divers. Popular activities in the park include hiking, camping, swimming, and kayaking. The park also houses the Crystal Cover Historic District with 46 coastal cottages from the 1930s and 40s.
Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas is your best pick for a hotel with a view of the park. These luxury condo rentals include kitchenettes for all the comforts of home. The Resort at Pelican Hill is another elegant option overlooking the park.
The area near Crystal Cove State Park is stunningly beautiful, but it comes at a high price tag. Hotels in this area are some of the most expensive in Newport Beach. For more affordable lodgings, you may want to try a hotel further west along the coast.
Crystal Cove State Park opens at 6am and closes at sunset daily. The Historic District is open until 10pm if you’re looking for a place to extend your day here.
