Tropical Oasis Near Orlando's Attractions

Tropical Experience That Fits Your Budget

The Double Tree Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld gets many positive reviews because they offer a luxury experience at a three and a half star price. With a series of swimming pools complete with a waterfall where both you and your children can play, Double Tree offers just as many amenities as other more expensive hotels in the area. You can stick to your budget even as you book yourself an appointment at the onsite full-service L’Esprit Day Spa, and you will enjoy the convenience of the swim-up bar and onsite putting green.

Convenient Transportation

While the Double Tree does not offer shuttle service to and from the airport, they provide free shuttle service to Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld, each less than two miles away. You can take the shuttle to the popular shopping outlets nearby as well, or you might choose to rent your own car at Thrifty, the hotel’s own on-site rental desk. Valet parking is available at $22 per day, or you can self-park for $17.

Programs for Children

After a day of touring the theme park with your kids, scheduling your own relaxation can be difficult if you don’t have a way to entertain them. Fortunately at Double Tree, you can take your children to the onsite Hideaway Cove Kids Activity Center. You can enjoy beer and wine tasting at Bangli Lounge while your children stay with Double Tree’s full-time entertainment director. Your kids can continue their day of fun with relay races, mini golf, outdoor table games, scavenger hunts and even hula-hoop contests.

Luxurious Amenities in Bright Rooms

You can book your room in a variety of two and three-story buildings spaced out around the twenty-eight acre property, or you can request to stay in the 17-story tower in the center of the resort. Every room comes equipped with a flat-screen 32-inch TV, ironing board, and coffee-maker, along with Crabtree & Evelyn and Neutrogena products in every bathroom. Rooms are decorated with neutral, relaxing earth tones. Beachy wooden headboards match the hard wood floors in some rooms, while the sage green accents in the bedspread over fresh white linens match the carpet in others.

The Bottom Line

Double Tree’s competitors are lacking in certain areas. You can save a few dollars on a room and take advantage of free parking if you are willing to go down half a star at Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at SeaWorld*. You need to decide if saving these few dollars is worth not having a spa onsite. There are also no children’s club programs at Garden Inn. Another three and a half star option is the Hilton Grand Vacation Suites at SeaWorld*, which is priced similarly to Double Tree. While it offers tennis courts it does not have a spa, and they do offer some programs for children, but these are not as robust as those at Double Tree.

Expert Reviews
On 28 acres near the Convention Center, this hotel with Bali-inspired decor combines low bungalow-style buildings and a 17-story tower.
Extensive renovations have brought this nicely landscaped 28-acre resort back to life -- the grounds filled with flowing fountains, waterfalls, and gardens blooming with color.
Because of its location at SeaWorld, it attracts many families and accommodates younger travelers with children's activities. ... Of note is the Balinese-inspired, one-bedroom Presidential Suite.
