Four-Star Hotel Close to Philadelphia History

A Sightseeing Dream off the Delaware River

The award-winning Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing lies within walking distance of Philadelphia's primary historical attractions. Fundamental pieces of United States history, such as the Liberty Bell, National Constitution Center, Independence Hall, and Betsy Ross House, are only a quick walk away. Shopping and live night entertainment are two other options thanks to this hotel's prime leisure location.

Water Views and Memorable Architecture

One would have to stay for more than a week to fully experience the Hyatt Regency grounds, and its dining options deserve special mention. For delicious tapas on the river, try the in-house Keating's River Grill and Bar. For breakfast and coffee in the morning or a noon lunch, visit Perk's Cafe. Boat tours are nearby, and babysitting or child care are available for a little time to yourself.

Extensive Amenities and Reasonable Rates

Order room service and relax with a flat-panel TV. Soundproof rooms keep your evening as high- or low-key as you want. Cribs and infant beds are available on request, and each room includes a coffee and tea maker and refrigerator for when you don't feel like dining out. Wired and wireless Internet are available for a modest surcharge.

Hipmunk Staff Review

Business travelers might be happier with a hotel in Center City, further west of the Delaware River, such as the similarly rated Loews Philadelphia. On the other hand, Hyatt Regency offers 24,000 feet of conference space and is less targeted toward children and families. Business guests looking for a slightly less downtown location or pleasure travelers looking to visit all the historic attractions with the least walking distance won't regret booking a room at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing.

Expert Reviews
The Hyatt Regency is an upper-middle-range hotel located on the waterfront, within walking distance of the Old City’s historic areas.
There are "no bad views from any room" at this "top-shelf" hotel overlooking the Delaware River and Penn's Landing, but some gripe it's "a little far from the action."
Great for large groups who want to stick together.... My favorite part of the complex is the indoor pool, which overlooks the river and a dock full of old seafaring vessels.
Art Deco-themed rooms offer stupendous views of the riverfront or city, but traffic noise does percolate up, so choose a river-view room if quiet is important to you.
