More About Hotels near Lincoln Financial Field...

Stay Cheap. Get a Room.

Lincoln Financial Field is located on the south end of Philadelphia and easily accessible via I-95. Staying at a local Airbnb location places visitors in the heart of the action without all of the headache. Most Airbnb accomodations in this area of Philadelphia are one bedrooms or efficiencies. Overnight prices run comfortably under $100. These rooms are an excellent way to get a feel for the local neighborhood flavor.

Hostels are also an economical choice. This area offers a number of them on both sides of the Delaware River. A night at a hostel in Philly runs between $30-40, while staying across the river in New Jersey will save you about ten dollars.

Airport Hotels Offer Great Deals

Just south of the Eagles' stadium off of I-95, travelers will find a number of cheap hotels near the Philadelphia International Airport. The Four Points by Sheraton and the Hawthorne Suites by Wyndham offer comfortable stays without the high price tags many hotels fetch for game day.

While hotels near the airport are less than 10 miles away from the Linc, home games mean a lot of traffic (with 66,000 people converging on the area). Those driving to the game should plan on arriving at least two hours ahead of kick-off.

Center City: Close to it All

Just as the name implies, Center City provides easy access to most of the downtown sites as well as subway lines and suburban rail. A car isn't needed. Many of the buildings in Center City are linked via an underground tunnel system, so walking around downtown in inclement weather is not a big deal. However, being underground means you'll miss the astounding architecture of City Hall and the Masonic Temple, so make sure you explore above ground as well.

Travelers can expect to pay under $200 a night for a moderate hotel in Center City. Even the Four Seasons is under $400 during football season. Since Philadelphia is a tourist destination, the hotel prices in Center City fluctuate less than those in the immediate vicinity of the stadium.

Public transportation is the best way to get to Lincoln Financial Field. From Center City, take the Broad Street Subway Line to Pattison, the last southbound stop. From there it's a 3-block walk to the stadium. Come early and enjoy the tailgating. You don't need a car, only a love of the local team. If the game goes past midnight, you'll need to take a shuttle bus on Broad Street because the Pattison trains shut down service.

Eagles games frequently sell out, so lining up tickets (and hotel rooms) early is advised, particularly when they play the Giants, Jets, or Steelers. All of these teams have large traveling fan bases and the closest, least expensive hotels will book up fast.

Convenience Can Come at a Cost

Moderate hotels near the stadium often cost more than the higher-end hotels in Center City due to limited number and convenience. Expect to pay, on average, $50 more for a similar room near the stadium. Home games will add about $20 to the cost of the room.
