The Riverside Hotel dates back to 1870. Once a prominent hotel and casino, it’s now an apartment building known as the Riverside Artist Lofts. Despite its new modern purpose, the Riverside Hotel has maintained its heritage architecture and earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places.
You can admire Riverside Hotel from some rooms and the rooftop terrace of Legacy Vacation Resorts Reno. Siena Hotel doesn’t boast the same views, but it’s also a short walk away.
The area around Riverside Hotel shows a different side of Reno than the region around its largest casinos. Guests looking for bright lights may be disappointed, but if you want to feel relaxed during your stay in Reno, you’re bound to appreciate its gentler pace.
Riverside Hotel remains a key tourist attraction due to its architectural significance. You’re free to take photos of the exterior, so long as you’re respectful of the artists who live there. Visitors can also wander around Sierra Arts’ retail space on the ground floor.
