For Best Value, Stay in a Casino Hotel 

Reno, NV, has plenty of hotels that will work with your budget. If you are looking for a mom-and-pop style hotel, you will enjoy the Gatekeeper Inn. At less than $50 a night, it's known for having some of the best customer service around. It's conveniently located close to the university and is only two blocks from the Reno Strip.

Pros and Cons of Reno Vacation Rentals

Transportation to the University of Nevada

To get to the University of Nevada, it easier to take the Sierra Spirit bus than to drive. You can ride for as little as 25 cents, and it runs from campus to downtown Reno every 15 minutes. If you need to go farther, you can go to the bus station located on 4th and Lake Street. You can easily get there from campus by walking or by taking the Sierra Spirit bus. This station connects to many destinations in and outside of Reno.
