Salt Lake City’s answer to Central Park in New York City, Liberty Park sits just blocks away from all the shopping and culture that downtown Salt Lake City has to offer. Liberty Park is on the National Register of Historic Places, making the park an attraction in its own right.
You can reach much of central Salt Lake City by light rail. However, if you plan on venturing outside the city to explore the likes of Antelope Island State Park or the Wasatch Mountains, it’s best to rent a car.
America's Best Inn and Camelot Inn and Hostel are your best bets for budget hotels near Liberty Park, but they don’t offer much in terms of amenities. A few blocks north, Little America Hotel, Hotel Monaco, and Marriott City Center are pricier, but are within walking distance of shopping and museums.
Hotels in Salt Lake City are pretty cheap compared to other major cities. However, rates tick up once ski season gets underway. To avoid paying premium rates, opt for an Airbnb-approved apartment or visit in the spring or fall.
