Enjoy a Slice of History at San Antonio's Crockett Hotel

What Do the Rooms Include?

The Crockett Hotel was built in 1909, but 2007 renovations have spruced up its rooms. The soothing sage and cream décor and plantation shutters have a charming historic feel, but additions like cable TV and free Wi-Fi should satisfy modern travelers. Make sure to peek out your window, as some rooms look out on the Alamo, the River Walk, or the hotel’s pool.

What Amenities/Features Does the Crockett Hotel Offer?

Start the day right with the Crockett Hotel’s free breakfast. American favorites like waffles and scrambled eggs are served daily in the atrium lobby. Unwind with an herbal scrub or couple’s massage in the on site spa or take a dip in the outdoor pool.

What Are the Room Rates at the Crockett Hotel?

Rates start from $109 for a queen bed room.

What's There to do Nearby?

The Crockett Hotel is ideally located for tourists, across the street from the Alamo and Rivercenter Mall. The shops, restaurants, and attractions of San Antonio’s River Walk are also just a few blocks away.

Can I Bring My Dog to the Crockett Hotel?

You can share your stay with one dog for an additional fee of $60.

How Do You Book a Spa Appointment?

Alamo Plaza Spa bookings can be made before you arrive via the Crockett Hotel website.

What's the Bottom Line?

The Crockett Hotel is a beautifully remodeled historic establishment with a better location than most San Antonio hotels. Basic rooms are small but immaculately presented, and you can always splurge on a king executive suite if you want more space.

Lonely Planet
No wonder pictures of the Alamo are always tightly cropped. Pull back and you can see the Crockett's sign hovering just behind the fort.
Built in 1909 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this hotel (named for frontiersman Davy Crockett) is a relic of turn-of-the-20th-century San Antonio.
