Modern Touches in a Historic Hotel

Stay in and Near History While Living in the Present

The Emily Morgan San Antonio - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel* is a perfect blend of modern and historical. The building itself retains its 1920s exterior while the rooms have been decorated and fitted to suit the needs of the technological age. The hotel also has the distinction of being known as the Official Alamo Hotel due to its proximity to the famous historical site.

Experience The Alamo and San Antonio Shopping

The hotel is steps away from The Alamo, making it an ideal location for those who are interested in the history of the site. Hotel rooms with views of The Alamo are also available.

Downtown San Antonio is home to unique shopping opportunities such as the historic River Walk. The River Walk is home to many self-contained districts such as the La Villita Historic Arts Village, Market Square, and RiverCenter Mall. Shoppers can find hand-crafted goods made by families who have lived in San Antonio for centuries along with more current offerings.

A Comfortable Stay in a Piece of History

The Emily Morgan hotel history is based on a folklore heroine who supposedly distracted General Santa Anna at a crucial moment during the fight at the Alamo. The song "The Yellow Rose of Texas" is based on her deed. The hotel itself was built in 1924 as the Medical Arts Building, and was converted into a hotel in 1984.

All of the hotel rooms are pet-friendly, and guests have seven room configurations to choose from. All rooms have wireless Internet, work desk and chair, an LCD TV with cable and video games, and premium waffle cotton bathrobes for guests. Black-out curtains shut out light from the outside.

This property draws attention to the local legend with its name and is one of the most popular hotels in the downtown area.
This hotel is located next to the Alamo and is housed in a Gothic skyscraper from the 1920s. ... The location is ideal for visitors. ... The combination of style, comfort, and history is hard to beat.
Built in the 1920s and named for the woman who inspired the song "The Yellow Rose of Texas," this boutique hotel sits across from the Alamo on a triangular piece of land.
